Governors

Governors work as part of a team called the GOVERNING BODY

They are responsible for making sure the school provides excellent quality education for all children.  Every school must have a Governing Body.

The Governing Body is responsible to parents, funders of the school (the Local Authority) and the local community.

Governors are the largest group of volunteers in the country.

The Governing Body work alongside the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team

  • Planning the future direction of the school

  • Making decisions on the school budget and staffing

  • Ensuring that the National Curriculum, RE and PSHE is taught to the highset standards

  • Making sure the school provides for all its children, including those with special needs.
