More to care for...

Children at Mount Street Primary School were excited to welcome two guinea pigs to school last week. The two fluffy guineas were adopted from the lovely Molly at Norman Gorman’s guinea pig sanctuary in Tideford where they had been looked after for the first 6 weeks of their life.

Since arriving at Mount Street, these friendly animals have been well loved and looked after, with pupils running into school in the mornings to check on them. Teachers and children have commented on the calming effect that having animals in school has had and how older children are showing younger ones how to care for them.
