Keeping your child safe
‘Safeguarding' is EVERYONE’S responsibility.
At Mount Street we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils. We expect ALL staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment. As well as pre-employment checks and an induction process, our staff receive regular safeguarding training throughout the year. Our DSL and DSSL undertake regular training specific to their role. Our governors undertake strategic safeguarding training to support them in their role and holding the school to account.
You can view our safeguarding policies on our Policies page. Our safeguarding policies are also available in paper form, on request.

As there are risks associated with mobile phones we ask that all visitors to the school turn off their mobile phone. The exception to this rule is when your child is performing in an event when you may take photographs and/or video. However, you may only place photos or videos of your own child on any social network sites.
As a School of Sanctuary we are committed to being a safe and welcoming place for all, especially those seeking sanctuary. Those who have arrived from a country with danger or those who have trouble at home who need a safe space are welcome at Mount Street.
A School of Sanctuary is a school that helps its children, staff and wider community understand what it means to be seeking sanctuary and to extend a welcome to everyone as equal, valued members of the school community.
