Week Commencing 8 Jun
It has been SO WONDERFUL to see some of you back in class - it really made me smile. For those of you who are isolating at home, we miss you! There are activities for the whole class - remember to send me pictures/emails of what you have been doing. Have you seen some of the pictures that Year 6 have already sent in?
I have included some rapid reasoning questions and answers for you to try – this is a new resource so I would like to know what you think. I am recapping some of the trickier areas of maths over the next few weeks and so I have included my flipcharts as PDFs and the questions that we are doing in class. If you are in class on Thursday and Friday, we will cover this in class. I have also included the answer pages so you can mark your own if you are completing this at home.
Our focus this week is suffixes: ably/cious/tious
SPAG - The stars show the difficulty - the more stars the harder the activity - challenge yourself!
In class we have created our own keep sake poster recording what we could and couldn’t do during the ‘lockdown’. We created ours using Publisher, but you could use Word, PowerPoint or create your own by hand. I have included an example below.
If you can send it in to school, we can laminate it for you or send us a picture for the website.
I have asked if Year 6 can create a Memorial Garden in which we can leave a painted, named pebble (put your name on the back) so that our names stay with the school long after we have left. I have collected lots of pebbles and have them in the classroom, if you would like one, please contact Reception and we can arrange for you to get one - perhaps after school one day. Once finished, if you drop it back in, I can get it varnished for you.
