KS 1 Multi Skills Event
Thu 02 May 2024Yesterday, a group of children from Year 2 went to Lipson Cooperative Academy to take part in a multi skills event. They took part in a variety events including: javelin, assault course, bowling, basketball and balancing. They were brilliant representatives of the school and they had a fabulous time, making and smashing their own targets. They were grateful to the teachers and Sports Ambassadors from Lipson who helped make their afternoon an enjoyable one.

Mini Police Awards
Tue 30 Apr 2024Today, Year 4 completed their mini police programme with PC Debs Hart. They presented their journey to Years 2&3 in an assembly. They were awarded certificates in the assembly and then were finger printed when they returned to class. Ramadan was given a 'Very Important Picker' award by the Clean Our Patch Team - for being an outstanding citizen whilst we were out on our litter pick

Schools Challenge 2024 and Plymouth Half Marathon
Sun 28 Apr 2024We again entered a team for the Schools Sports Challenge 2024 and all participants acquitted themselves really well. Thankfully, the weather stayed dry for our run and we were ably assisted by Mrs Blunt and Miss Smith. Our own Miss Knox was the fifth lady home in the Half Marathon beating her personal best for this race by over 3 minutes - well done Miss Knox!!

Mini Police - Litter Pick
Wed 17 Apr 2024Today, Year 4 joined PC Deb and the 'Clean Our Patch' Litter Ambassadors Elle and Ash to walk around on our local streets and collect litter. We had a safety briefing first, so we knew what not to touch and how to behave when walking around the neighbourhood. We were very enthusiastic about collecting as much litter as we could and managed to fill 5 bags in just 45 minutes! We have volunteered to go out again! Great job Year 4!

Spring into Reception!
Wed 27 Mar 2024We have been continuing to learn all about Spring in our class this week and decided to draw some Spring flowers. We looked at pictures of many flowers found growing at this time of year and learnt their names before having a go at drawing them using pencil. Miss Knox then gave us a range of different media to use to add colour such as oil pastels, crayons and colouring pencils. Take a look at our amazing work!

Year 4 mini police
Tue 26 Mar 2024Our mini police are taking their jobs seriously, taking responsibility for order and routine in the school. During our session with PC Debs this week, we have focused on anti social behaviour.

Tue 19 Mar 2024Today, PC Debs came in and talked to year 4 about Internet Safety and bullying. We shared experiences and solutions and learned what bullying means and how to deal with bullies.

Lord Mayor Reads to KS1
Thu 14 Mar 2024During his visit to the school today, The Lord Mayor read a story to Key Stage 1 because the school is taking part in the Young Readers Programme sponsored by the National Literacy Trust. He chose Paddington Bear and the children loved it!
