Anning Class - Year 3

Year 3 @ Mount Street Primary

Welcome to the Autumn Term in Year 3!

This year, our class will be named after the inspirational person Mary Anning. She was a girl who grew up in Lyme Regis in the early 1800s. Her family was poor so Mary helped her father collect and sell fossils found along the cliffs. She became fascinated with the strange bones she found. At the time, girls and women were not encouraged to become scientists so Mary worked hard and made several important fossil discoveries. Her findings helped people learn more about dinosaurs and life on Earth millions of years ago. She is inspirational because her story shows us to follow your interests, work hard and never let obstacles stop you from achieving great things.

Our Class teachers

Our class teacher is Mrs Clement-Stallard (Mrs C-S) and the class is supported by Miss Dann who is our class Teaching Assistant. Mrs C-S's PPA will be covered by a member of staff.

Class Dojo

If you haven't already done so, please sign up for our Class Dojo. Here you will find messages from your class teacher that will help you keep up to date with what is happening in class and any forthcoming events. You can also send a message to your child's class teacher via Dojo and they will get back to you as soon as possible.

I will always let you know via Dojo if this changes for any reason. E-Safety

As so many of us are spending more and more time online, it is important that the children have a secure knowledge of how to be safe.  We will discuss various issues regarding this each week.  If your child or yourself have any questions linked to their online world, then please do not hesitate to get in touch or have a look at some of the links below.
