FOMSS - Friends of Mount Street School

What is FOMSS?

 

FOMSS is Friends of Mount Street School, the PTA (Parent Teacher Association), which is made up of a group of parents, carers and staff from the school. Everyone is welcome to join us, and can get involved as much or as little as you want!

 

What do we do?

 

We raise money through running:

 

•          After school cafés
•          Pizza cafés
•          Christmas Fair
•          Summer Fair
•          Competitions
•          Discos
•          Book Sale
•          Harvest café

 

The profit we make from these events goes back into the school:

 

•          It helps to enhance the school environment (e.g. caring for the animals)
•          It contributes to the children’s end of term celebrations
•          It contributes to the cost of trips
•  

Events are organised by a small group of parents, with a wider group helping out at events. We need more people to get involved in the organising and planning of events.

 

We meet regularly to talk about what we’ve done this year and plan future events. Please come along and support this vital part of Mount Street School. The meetings are alternate Thursdays at 3.15, come and join us for a cuppa and a piece of cake!
