Design and Technology
Through cooperative learning the children are provided with a range of different skills to develop and deepen their knowledge of designing through a thematic approach. From using a range of different tools to developing their technical understanding, to investigating their design and adapting and moderating their work as necessary. All children learn to solve practical problems in a range of exciting and interesting situations. Furthermore, the children will develop their ability to critique, evaluate and test their ideas and products and the works of others. At Mount Street Primary School, we develop the children's conceptual knowledge and understanding through 'Big Ideas' which develop both in depth and knowledge as the children progress through the school.
