Keeping your child safe

As a School of Sanctuary we are committed to being a safe and welcoming place for all, especially those seeking sanctuary. Those who have arrived from a country with danger or those who have trouble at home who need a safe space are welcome at Mount Street.

A School of Sanctuary is a school that helps its children, staff and wider community understand what it means to be seeking sanctuary and to extend a welcome to everyone as equal, valued members of the school community.

We are proud that we are an inclusive and safe place for children, parents and staff.

We have policies and procedures in place to keep everyone safe.

As there are risks associated with mobile phones we ask that all visitors to the school turn off their mobile phone. The exception to this rule is when your child is performing in an event when you may take photographs and/or video. However, you may only place photos or videos of your own child on any social network sites.

Please see the following policies for more detail: Safeguarding type policies including e safety, mobile phones, safer recruitment,CP, security, social networking etc.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Ms Shillaber
