Autumn Term in Me2 and Nursery

Welcome to the Autumn Term! We are excited to welcome both new and returning children to Me2 and Nursery. This term will focus on helping the children settle into their new environment, build relationships, and develop confidence through play and exploration.

Our topic this term is 'Look at Me', where children will have opportunities to talk about themselves, their families, and the people who are important to them. They will explore what makes them unique, learn about how they grow and change, and celebrate the special qualities that make each child an individual.

Through a range of engaging indoor and outdoor activities, children will develop their communication and language skills, learn new vocabulary, and practise important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and making new friends.

Our Learning This Term

Children will enjoy listening to and exploring a variety of stories, including:

• Goldilocks and the Three Bears
• We're Going on a Bear Hunt
• Other favourite stories chosen by the children

In mathematics, the children will begin learning about:

• Patterns
• Measuring
• Shapes
• Counting and recognising numbers to 5

Keeping You Updated

We will regularly update our Class Dojo page with photographs and snapshots of the children's learning, so please keep an eye on the app to see what your child has been enjoying each week.

We also create a class floor book that captures the wonderful experiences, achievements, and discoveries that take place during continuous provision. A link to view this will be shared with families via Class Dojo throughout the term.
