Heatree 2019 - Day 3

It was a 7.30 start this morning, with breakfast at 8.00.  Rock scrambling, low adventure and raft building were the morning activities on what was a fresh, clear and dry morning.  The views from the top of Hound Tor were amazing but it was very cold in the pond and in the streams.  For those who got wet, it was up for a hot shower and change of clothes before lunch.  We has started to eat our lunch outside but sadly the sleety showers started. This afternoon saw groups taking part in high ropes, low adventure and raft building.  Even though it was raining, and it was quite heavy at times, the children persevered and achieved what they wanted to achieve.

Following a dinner of sausage, chips and baked beans, which was followed by syrup sponge and custard, half the children again went out on a night walk. The moon was full and, luckily, there were just a couple of sleet showers.  Once everyone was back, it was hot chocolate and a fairy cake before going off to bed and lights out at 10pm.
