Heatree - Day 4

We woke this morning to a chilly start and pouring rain.  Undeterred, following breakfast, we layered up our clothing and set off for the morning activities of low adventure, raft building and rock scrambling.  No sooner had we commenced the activity, than the snow started.  We were all very excited, although it was very cold.  We carried on regardless although some activities finished a little early as hands were numb.  There were a few very brave souls who finished every activity.

After lunch, due to the adverse weather conditions, there was a slight change in activities as it made the high ropes dangerous, so three groups had an orienteering afternoon whilst the remaining teams completed the low adventure course.

After a trip to the gift shop, the packing started.  Dinner this evening was roast chicken, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, pigs in blankets, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower cheese.  This was followed by ice cream and sprinkles.  Many people had to have seconds it was so good!

As it was our last night, we headed down to the Bronze Age Round House and sand around a fire and toasted marshmallows.  After returning to the house, we had a final set of evening rounds before settling down for the evening - there was no noise after 10.00 pm this evening!!
