Young Readers Programme.

years 1,2 and 3 have been participating in the Young Reader's Programme this year.  As well as Bedtime stories, The Lord Mayor's visit and World Book day where the children were all involved in reading, they were invited to take part in a book event in Drake Circus.  The children were all so excited - they played Nerf gun target practice, mini golf, had a treasure hunt, created a front cover for an imaginary book and write a short blurb to entice a reader. Finally they spent time with one of the funniest story tellers and got to choose their very own second book. They are still buzzing and carrying their books around with them. They are now talking of sharing the books with each other and lending them!
