• Fastest Female Teacher in the West!

  A massive congratulations to our very own Miss Knox  who is officially the 'Fastest Teacher in the South West!'  Running in the Bicton 10K at the weekend, as part of a specially selected team of teachers who had met the entry requirements in terms of running times, she went and smashed it!  We are all incredibly proud of her!  Go Miss Knox!!

  

• Mission Mammoth

  As part of the Mission Mammoth STEAMFEST 2024 and #Smeaton300, Year 5 had an amazing day at The Box working with various companies thinking about how to design a mammoth enclosure for George and Mildred (the woolly mammoths). The children worked with engineers, architects, surveyors, quantity surveyors and many others from the construction industry, learning how to design a sustainable structure that can house the mammoths in comfort. The children were impeccably behaved throughout the day, asking deepening questions to find out more about the roles. A big shout out to Edna, who won the overall prize (nominated by many of the professionals) of a very cuddly woolly mammoth.
