FOMSS - Friends of Mount Street School
What is FOMSS?
FOMSS stands for Friends of Mount Street School and is our PTA (Parent Teacher Association), which is made up of a group of parents, carers and staff from the school. Everyone is welcome to join us and can get involved as much or as little as you want!
What do we do?
We raise money through running:
- After school cafés
- Pizza cafés
- Christmas Fair
- Summer Fair
- Book Sale
The profit we make from these events goes back into the school:
- It helps to enhance the school environment (e.g. caring for the animals)
- It contributes to the cost of trips
Events are organised by a small group of parents, with a wider group helping out at events. We need more people to get involved in the organising and planning of events.
We meet regularly to talk about what we’ve done this year and plan future events. Please come along and support this vital part of Mount Street School.
If you are interested in helping, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or leave your details with Julie in the office.

Our AGM was on Friday 25th March 2022. Prior to Covid restrictions we have supported the school by organising school discos, MUFTI events, a Christmas Fair and provided teas and coffees for various events. Since the AGM we have organised an Easter Egg raffle and a Mufti-day as well as starting to plan the Summer Fair, to be held in June. We have many plans for the year ahead and always welcome new ideas to raise funds for the children and provide entertaining events for yourselves and your children.
This year we are aiming to raise £1300. Thank you for all your support so far this academic year.
